The City of Brooksville is the county seat and is rich in history and traditions. Weeki Wachee, the only other city in the county, incorporated many decades ago to appear on Florida maps to promote the Weeki Wachee Springs as the “City of Mermaids.” Unincorporated areas include Spring Hill, Ridge Manor, Ridge Manor West, Masaryktown, Bayport, Aripeka, Lake Lindsey and Hernando Beach.

Bravera Health Brooksville
Bravera Health Brooksville is a 120-bed Joint Commission accredited acute care facility. In keeping with their heritage, the hospital provides quality, compassionate healthcare to residents of Hernando County and surrounding areas. Bravera Health Brooksville care services include a surgery program, a dedicated orthopedic joint replacement center, women’s imaging suites and a cardiac cath lab. The joint replacement program offers robotic-arm assisted partial knee and total hip replacement surgeries. Bravera Health Brooksville is designated as an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) and an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital.
Bravera Health Spring Hill
Bravera Health Spring Hill is a 124-bed Joint Commission accredited acute care facility. The Bravera Baby Place at Bravera Health Spring Hill features a Level I neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Bravera Health Spring Hill offers care throughout pregnancy, through birth and postpartum care. If you’re one of more than five million Americans suffering from non-healing wounds, we offer wound care and hyperbaric medicine programs, using technology to help heal wounds. Other services offered include general surgery, ENT (ear, nose & throat), plastic surgery, urology and outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy rehab centers. Bravera Health Spring Hill is designated as an Accredited Chest Pain Center and an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital.
