The U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama is a museum operated by the government of Alabama, showcasing rockets, achievements, and artifacts of the U.S. space program. Not only is America’s space program on exhibit in Huntsville, it was forged in Huntsville. We’re known as the “Rocket City” because Huntsville, Alabama is where rockets were developed that put men on the moon.

Huntsville’s city center has always been one of the liveliest places in town. The locals used to gather around the courthouse square to not only conduct business, but to celebrate. From day to night, you’ll see a combination of families, tourists and professionals enjoying the many different aspects of downtown Huntsville. Within downtown Huntsville, there are different neighborhoods – all with an individual flair worthy of exploration. A mixture of large corporations and small start-ups do business here, and the progressive and breezy atmosphere creates an infectious sense of innovation and creativity. The Rocket City Trash Pandas are a Minor League Baseball team of the Southern League and the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. They are located in Madison, Alabama, and play their home games at Toyota Field.
